What should I do first if I want to create multiple evaluations?

Before beginning to fill out the CSV template, it is helpful to think through the following questions:

Who should be the owner? If you should not be the owner of the evaluations, make sure you coordinate with the person who should be the owner because they will need to upload the CSV file.

Are you the person who will be filling out the company questionnaire, or will that be done by someone else? If you are the person who should fill out the company questionnaire, make sure you know how your first name, last name, email address, and department are listed in the platform. If a different person should be filling out the questionnaire, make sure you know how their first name, last name, email, and department are listed in the platform. Each evaluation requires a company questionnaire.

Should a contractor fill out a questionnaire? You will need to know if the contractor will be filling out the questionnaire as you create your CSV file. 

Once you know these basics, make sure you are familiar with the formatting guidelines for the CSV file.

What do you mean by “owner”?

The owner is the person who starts the evaluations. The owner will always have access to view the status, evaluation, and report in the platform.

What type of questionnaire do I need?

Every evaluation requires a completed company questionnaire, which can be completed by the owner or assigned to someone else within the company to complete. Do not send the company questionnaire to a contractor. The contractor questionnaire is optional and has questions specifically for the contractor. 

I need to create more than 50 evaluations. What should I do?

If you need to create more than 50 evaluations, you will need to upload more than one CSV file. There are a number of ways you could organize and divide your CSV files, such as by Platform company, department, manager, or owner. We recommend you develop a standardized naming convention for CSV files that is used by all owners who upload CSV files.

Who can view the evaluations?

If you upload the CSV, you will be able to view the evaluations. Any platform user who has permission to view other evaluations in your company will be able to see them as well.

Why are there duplicate evaluations in the platform?

Duplicate evaluations are created if you re-upload a CSV with errors and do not remove the entries that were successfully uploaded. Duplicate entries can also exist if multiple people upload the same entry on different CSV files.

Why do different error messages appear after I fix the errors that were noted and re-upload my CSV?

If an error is detected in an entry, the system stops reviewing that entry for further errors. The system will note the first error it finds. Therefore, it’s possible for the entry to contain multiple errors even though only one message was displayed. If an entry fails, we recommend reviewing the entire entry, not just the column that was noted in the error message.
